Through a tiered project execution system based on checks and balances, the Quality
Control Process requires that each individual involved pass through multiple check-points
before their work advances to the next step. In each tier, there are personnel who
play a distinct role and follow precise steps to arrive at the successful execution
of your project without sacrificing quality for cost, speed, or customer service.
Also, since each part of the process is reviewed and logged, Akorbi maintains a
high level of effectiveness and the finest customer service for each project that
passes through our infrastructure. The system that worked so well to produce your
premium project is preserved for future quality outcomes.

THE PROCESS

Tier A - Project Manager, Account Manager
|
1. Identifies resources, responsibilities,
skills, and training required to achieve the desired quality
2. Clarifies standards of acceptability
for all features and requirements as needed (exactly what, how many, quote/estimate,
technical specifications and deadlines)

Tier B - Translator/Subject Matter Expert
|
Once the project is underway, the translator communicates all issues, as they arise,
with the project manager. The translator also preserves the ideas and work of the
copyrighter.
3. The translator both translates and
localizes content to ensure successful inclusion of the critical changes
4. The translator logs terms to build
a database of country and region-specific terms
Each project is reviewed for terminology, accuracy, and consistency, with a final
proofreading to verify that there are no typos or grammatical errors.

Tier C - Editors
|
|
5. Editors compare the source language
and the target language, checking for omissions and accuracy of the translation.
The editor also focuses on style and the ease with which the final edition reads.

Tier D - Formatters
|
|
6. Although editing can also involve modifying
the original text, this job is sometimes assigned to special formatters. Formatting
is used, for instance, in order to reduce text size, or to ensure the layout appears
identical on both the original and the final translated document.

Tier E - Proofreaders
|
|
7. Proofreading is done on the final target
language in search of typos, spelling or grammatical mistakes, syntax issues, or
inconsistencies in the final (target) language.

8. Feedback is collected from the client
9. The Project Manager logs client feedback
into the database of professional feedback
