Quality Control
Akorbi Consulting's Quality Control Plan (QCP) delineates a systematic set of actions
to ensure the high quality and full contractual compliance of all products and services
we furnish to our clients. The QCP provides a template of actions that will be tailored
to the specific requirements, deliverables, and scope of each requirement issued.
Furthermore, our QCP is a "living" document to be updated and augmented as needed
to maintain high levels of quality and customer satisfaction. Our focus on Continuous
Process Improvement (CPI) is integral to our quality assurance processes. One key
element to CPI is the tenet that quality is an attitude firmly embraced by our team.
It is the responsibility of each professional performing work to conduct Quality
Control (QC) checks throughout the task.
Step 1 begins with receipt of the government's request.
When possible, we will discuss proposed QC plans with government personnel prior
to submission. This will ensure that all areas of concern are addressed in order
to achieve the necessary level of confidence in the products, and that project resources
are spent judiciously. The Project Manager will do the following:
Identify resources, responsibilities, skills, and training required to achieve the
desired quality
Clarify standards of acceptability for all features and requirements as needed and
identify and maintain quality records
Step 2 is marked by submission of the proposal to
the government. This will provide an opportunity for the government to review and
approve or refine the planned QC activities and assignments (Step 3).
During Step 4, we will conduct our QC activities in
accordance with the approved plan. This will consist of a blend of product-driven,
event-driven, periodic and random evaluations of the compliance and quality of our
products and services.
We will revise the deliverables as needed (Step 5)
to achieve full compliance and satisfaction. Implementation of an order is based
on a well-planned, coordinated, and approved strategy; however, at task initiation
the plan is subject to change to meet real-time circumstances. Our team realizes
that conditions change and must be addressed regardless of any previous direction.
Akorbi Consulting has years of experience adjusting to and minimizing cost and schedule
impacts associated with changes. We will work with the customer for ultimate product
delivery for acceptance by the government (Step 6).
In Step 7, the Client Services Group will periodically
distribute a "Customer Satisfaction Survey" to randomly selected clients. We elicit
feedback on the timeliness, quality, and compliance of our performance. Our senior
management reviews the results to identify areas for improvement.
Step 8 consists of analyzing the results of all QC-related
activities to identify areas in which we need to improve our processes, tools, and
techniques to attain higher levels of performance. The metrics that will be used
will include customer satisfaction survey results, cycle-time reduction, timeliness
of reports and presentations, frequency of occurrence of non-conformities, and time
required to resolve non-conformities. A quarterly QC conference will provide a forum
to discuss the surveys and necessary QC changes.
Step 9 entails continuous improvement of our processes
(which include this QCP) and organizational structures and procedures. Our focus
on continual process improvement will foster effective practices and promote full
client satisfaction.
QC Organization and Responsibilities
Definition and coordination of QC activities on each task will be the responsibility
of the Project Manager, who will ensure the understanding, implementation, and maintenance
of our quality policy at all levels of the project.

Work Prioritization and Surge

Akorbi Consulting's years of experience in support of diverse government and commercial
agencies give us tremendous understanding and experience responding to tasks with
priority time requirements. Priority work orders will be processed on an expedited
basis. Akorbi Consultin's team holds regular scheduling conferences to address resource
and equipment availability issues required to meet delivery needs. Each supervisor
has on-call staffing as well as the authority to coordinate with each specialty
area to obtain the people needed for surge capability.
