Akorbi requires that English to Chinese translators, copywriters and editors be certified or accredited by a respected translators association, such as the Translators Association of China, the American Translators Association, federal court, or local governments etc. In addition, they are expected to have a degree in Translation or a closely related field from a reputable university program such as Beijing Foreign Studies University, Shanghai International Studies University, and the Monterrey Institute of International Studies, to name a few. Our professional English-to-Chinese translators average ten years of translation experience with a specific language pair, while our editors hold an average of fifteen years. We always take the time to ensure our translators, copywriters and chosen editors for each project have similar experience and specialization before any documentation is assigned. In fact, we require that the English to Chinese translators, copywriters and editors have at least five years of translation experience in your specific industry or another closely related field, such as business, information technology, pharmaceutical, medical, government, telecommunications, manufacturing, marketing, and legal professions. In addition, Chinese translators must pass a translation test given by one of our tenure editors, and provide positive references from recognized agencies, government officials, or recent employers. Our editors are required to serve at least two years as professional English-to-Chinese translators for Akorbi while maintaining an immaculate performance record. As well as qualifying to our extensive requirements, everyone must agree to Akorbi’s contractual clauses that include non-disclosure, HIPAA, criminal history and background checks.
