Akorbi CEO Leads Successful First-Ever Dallas Tech Event

(DALLAS, TEXAS – APRIL 26, 2009)

Akorbi Language Consulting (www.akorbi.com), a global language service provider to the healthcare, technology, legal, pharmaceutical and government industries, announced today that CEO Claudia Mirza was recognized by the Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GDHCC) for her leadership in making this event a success.

The Technology Showcase event, “Empowering Your Business with Technology”, was held April 16, 2009 with more than 300 participants, 35 vendors, and 10 presenters. It was held at North Lake College in Irving. www.gdhcc-techshowcase.org.

The Showcase began with opening remarks from Ms. Mirza along with Worris Levine, Chief Information Officer for the City of Dallas, and René Castilla, Executive Dean of North Lake College.

Speakers included: Anthony Galichet, of AT&T; Gabriela Quezada, GDHCC’s Vice President of Economic Development; Gloria Tostado, Community Relations Manager of General Motors; Zeke Sanchez III, CEO of LXI Enterprise Associates; and Maribel De Leon and Matt Stevens, with the GDHCC.
