Akorni CEO Names to DALLAS BUSINESS JOURNALS “40 UNDER 40”

Akorbi Language Consulting (www.akorbi.com), a global language service provider to the healthcare, technology, legal, pharmaceutical and government industries, announces that CEO, Claudia Mirza, has been named to the 2006 Dallas Business Journal “40 Under 40”.

The “40 Under 40” recognizes the top 40 DFW business leaders less than 40 years of age. They are reviewed on the growth of their business, leadership ability based on employee feedback, and overall community involvement. “I am honored to be recognized along with such a group of talented business leaders,” Mirza said. “I enjoy adding value to our clients’ businesses, providing a great place for our team to develop a career, and contributing to the community that gave me so much.”

Prior to founding Akorbi, Claudia served in management positions with top companies including GENUITY (formerly GTE Internetworking) in the U.S where she led a number of enterprise process improvement and optimization programs, SPIE CAPAG-ISMOCOL, in Colombia where she managed teams of engineers who built large natural gas-line projects, and TESIS Y DISENOS, in Colombia where she served in marketing management.

Claudia has a number of awards and recognitions including: SCORE as a success story; she was nominated as a “Community Hero” by the Dallas Fort-Worth Metroplex Technology Business Council; and voted Woman-Owned Business Enterprise of the year by the NCTRCA. Claudia holds two Bachelor Degrees in Business Administration.
