Press CenterAkorbi Consulting Supports TroopsAkorbi Consulting, a Texas-based consulting firm, recently won a major U.S. Army contract to provide support for the AFTB program at Fort Myer, Virginia. The Army Family Team Building (AFTB) program is part of the Army Community Services (ACS), the key provider of social services for military families. The AFTB is “an educational program which provides training that prepares everyone in America’s Army to function at the highest level, given any situation. The training improves personal and family preparedness, which enhances overall Army readiness,” as stated on their website. Akorbi personnel will support the AFTB program by managing and coordinating Deployment and Mobilization services, enabling valuable assistance to soldiers and their families as they prepare for and return from deployment. A caring and informative support system is vital to troop morale and welfare, and Akorbi personnel will be responsible for implementing and coordinating guidance and policies to create and enrich AFTB, Deployment and Mobilization, family, morale, and recreation programs. Akorbi personnel will also recruit and oversee instructors for ATFB programs, as well as encourage community service activities by coordinating volunteers. Claudia Mirza, CEO of Akorbi, commented that “this service is especially important given the high ops tempo of today’s military forces. We are extremely proud to support our nation’s troops and their families in this way.” Elahi Enterprises Inc., DBA Akorbi Consulting is a women/minority-owned consulting firm, specializing in IT projects, staff augmentation, and translation services.
