Web Developer (Front End Developer)

Job Description/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, math, business, or information technology related fields plus two (2) years of experience in programming/analysis/design for web-based distributed systems and/or mainframe environments.
- Effective oral and written communication and strong analytical skills are required.
- Candidate will have demonstrated experience with .NET Framework, Visual Studio 2005 or higher, Report Viewer, ASP.Net Master Pages, Web Services, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), UML, C#, VB, HTML, and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
- Project management skills are a plus.
- Subject to overtime, nights and/or weekends.
- Must pass extensive background investigation.
- No felony or Class A misdemeanor convictions.
- A six (6) year combination of specified education and experience will qualify.

User Interface Developer

Job Description/Qualifications:
- The User Interface Engineer is responsible for producing all client-side code for our client’s products and outgoing email communications.
- He/she is the expert in coding standards and technical limitations. Working under very tight deadlines, this person must work seamlessly with the Visual Designer to produce deliverables that match the creative vision without amendment while producing consistent results on all agreed upon browsers and operating systems.
- Develop and maintain development friendly, valid client-side code for implementation on our client’s core product.
- Works with other User Interface Developers to ensure user interface code design adheres to defined coding standards.
- Interface with development team members and team leads to ensure smooth transition of creative assets.
- Communicate with management on a regular basis to ensure that the overall vision for our client’s products is being maintained.

- Our ideal candidate is a Sr. Database Engineer that thrives in a dynamic and fast paced development environment.
- In addition to strong technical skills in SQL Server (SQL Server, T-SQL, SSMS, SSIS, Profiler), the candidate should have planning and estimation skills and adaptable to an environment and processes supporting short development cycles.
- Helps with the design of relational databases and data flows for our distributed data enterprise

In-house Spanish Language Editor/Proofreader
The Spanish Editor/Proofreader will work as a member of several expanding account teams. The applicant will work closely with the Project and Account Managers to edit and proofread all translated Spanish material. The applicant should also be comfortable interfacing with clients on a regular basis.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the areas of health care and marketing. This candidate will have a strong command of the Spanish language and should be able to edit and proofread a wide variety of translated Spanish materials to ensure they meet established standards for content.
Minimum Requirements:
- A degree in translations or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a professional translator
- Excellent attention to detail since this position will be mainly editing and proofing the work of junior translators
- Excellent command of La Real Academia Española
- ATA Accreditation is preferred
- Experience proofreading and editing texts (This experience can be supported by previous books translated or edited. References will be verified.)
- Strong command of the Spanish language, grammar, and syntax
- Verbal skills (oral and written) and the ability to translate technical jargon into simple language
- The ideal candidate must show proven experience with SDLX or Trados
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
In-house Chinese Language Editor/Proofreader
Main responsibilities will be to:
- Edit and proofread translated documents
- Establish and maintain translation memories and glossaries for Akorbi's clients
- Efficiently maintain formal disciplined operation procedures across a variety of client projects
- Track project-specific non-conformances and resolutions
- Personally perform project QA steps
- Juggle overlapping projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Regularly interface with clients
Required Skills:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in translation
- Extensive and proven experience in the marketing and health care fields
- At least 5 years of proven experience and be willing to work with SDLX
- Must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in Chinese and English
- Ability to support multiple projects by keeping accurate and up-to-date project-specifics
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Keep project managers informed of project progress
